Working with leather feels familiar in a way I had not expected. It is a material with honesty, shaped by time and use. It softens, it records experience and it lasts.
For this first development stage, I have been working with softer leathers to give the pieces a more relaxed feel. There is something reassuring in the way they move, even while the structure stays true to the utilitarian language I want to keep. A small touch of punk sits quietly inside the design, almost like a memory rather than a statement. It feels right for where this collection is heading.
The workshop I am collaborating with has been producing leather goods for some of the most respected names in British fashion for more than two decades. I did not realise at first that our paths had crossed before, but the familiarity of their work made sense the moment I saw it again. There is a depth of skill that only comes from years of repetition and care.
These early prototypes mark the start of an idea that is slowly taking form. They are the first clues of what is coming next for PINTO HERVIA.
More to follow.
